I took pintxos tour my first day in San Sebastian, and I'm so glad I did! Jon was an amazing guide to not only Basque food and drink traditions, but also local history and language. We walked in a circuit around the old town center going to different bars and a few other stops along the way. Take this tour to eat amazing food, have great drinks, learn how to order and where to go, and to make a local friend! I hope to come back one day and try out his other tours. There's a lot to explore here!
Thoroughly enjoyed my Pintxo food your with Jon while visiting San Sebastian. Although relatively new to the Airbnb website, Jon has been giving food tours in San Sebastian for many years. His tour is very reasonably priced, he offered a wealth of suggestions and information, hooked me up with some kick ass olive oil, as well as some great Pintxos. Enjoyed my evening and would recommend it!
I was fortunate to have a private tour with Jon even though I usually enjoy group dynamics with Airbnb tours. Jon’s a true world traveler himself and brings that passion and his stories to the table as well as his love for Basque culture and it’s amazing Pintxos cuisine. After one evening I know why San Sebastián is renowned for its Chefs and flavors! Highly recommend it!
Jon is a very engaging host and clearly has a strong passion for showing his culture to his guests. His choices of Pintxo bars and dishes was excellent and not something you’d be likely to come across on your own. His great tips for navigating San Sebastian's food scene also make this a solid experience to do at the beginning of your visit.
Amazing food tour with Jon! We had a great time and learned about Basque history, background of specific pintxos and the quality of the food options was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone in San Sebastián. He was generally very fun to be with and the conversation flowed very easily.
