08:40 Take the train
We will take the train to Zarautz and admire the georgeous landscapes.
30 minutes approximately
Zarautz
Having been born in this village I have many things to show you. We will walk along the beach, breathing fresh air and enjoying the views. We will visit the local market and the medieval village, with its towers and palaces.
Local farmers market
I will show you the local market, one of my favorite places. Here, we will also taste some local products such as homemade bread, local cheese, apple jelly, cider, etc.
Hiking. Visit & tasting in a Txakoli winery
We will go up the Roman road to Getaria. On the way we will visit a txakoli winery where we will have a tour. We will taste the 3 types of txakoli they produce and eat local products such as tuna, salted anchovies and for dessert a delicious tiramisu.
Getaria
We will continue along the Roman road until we reach Getaria and walk along its main street where the barbecue grills have their grills in full view for us to enjoy the spectacle. We will visit a cultural monument and learn about our illustrious characters.
15:00 Finishing
The tour ends in the town of Getaria, where I will give you tips on where to eat, what else to visit in the area or just stroll around the town or enjoy the beach. We will also tell you where to take the bus back to Donostia or if you prefer you can come back with me at 15:00.

What they say about us...
The highlight of my trip to Spain's Basque Country was actually the tour with Earra. Jon was awesome, has a positive demeanor, super knowledgeable and provided so many local insights. I learned so much during my tour with him. From the walk by the beach in Zarautz to the market tour, the hike around Txakoli wine region, encounters with numerous friendly locals, and the tour around Getaria, I highly recommend Earra tours. If I had more time in the San Sebastian area, I would've gone on another tour with him. I'll definitely reach out to him the next time I'm there!

We met our tour guide Johnny at San Sebastian train station and was instantly greeted with joy and warmth. Throughout the trip we were able to experience Basque culture, food, drink and gorgeous views. Johnny's passion for all things Basque was evident, his knowledge for the country's history and people was clear.
Had a great day, the walk was leisurely and the company was great! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the Basque cuisine, see a bit of the country side outside of just San Sebastian and enjoy the company of a local!

We had an amazing time with Jon. He has an amazing personality and really makes you feel welcome. The hike gave us the most stunning views that we would never have seen otherwise. I highly recommend using Jon as your local fixer for anything you need. Jon curated another trip for us after the hiking trip, which was just as personalized and great.

Jon was a phenomenal host and tour guide. The experience exceeded our expectations and was a very authentic and pleasant day with someone very passionate about their heritage and area. We would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to experience a local Txakoli wine farm and the other beautiful sites along the way.

Bobby and I had the most fantastic day with Jon, he was one of the best tour guides we've ever had! From the moment we met him at the train station, we knew we were going to have an amazing day. His attention to detail and knowledge and love for the Basque countryside, people & language is wonderful to see. We felt as though we had known him for years! The winery was beautiful and we loved seeing the local produce at his hometown market. Even after the tour was finished, Jon helped us find a local restaurant. Thank you again, we would highly recommend this experience to anyone!
